About the School
Our school is approx 12 km from Roscommon town. It is situated in the townland of Clooneycolgan – hence the better known name locally of Clooneycolgan NS. We are in the parish of Oran. We have 4 mainstream class teachers, having been joined by Mr. Peter Flanagan just after Halloween in 2015. He teaches the 1st & 2nd class children; Miss Dolan has the Junior & Senior Infants; Mr. Fallon, teaches the 3rd & 4th classes, while Mr. Dervan teaches the 5th & 6th classes.
We have 2 Learning Support teachers, Ms. Crowley and Ms. Heneghan. Ms Heneghan is on secondment to the NCSE, and she is replaced by Ms. McIntyre.
We have 2 Special Needs Assistants, Josephine Farrell and Kathleen Keegan.
