Oran GAA in 2 County Finals

Oran crest

It’s a great time to be in school in the parish of Oran – when isn’t it,in fairness? The Intermediate footballers play Kilmore in the County final on Sunday in Strokestown at 4. Flags, bunting, balloons, scarves and wristbands abound in the area this week, and the school is no different. We even had a surprise visitor drop in on the roof, and stay! Best of luck to the footballers, and especially any past pupils involved.

Sunday week sees the Oran Senior hurlers compete in the Senior County final against old rivals, Four Roads in Athleague. Hopefully, between both teams, some silverware will be winging its way to the parish over the next fortnight.

Have a look at the – unrecognisable – school, festooned with Oran colours. And, after the finals, Mr Dervan wants his shorts back!

Oran abú!!
