County 5 a side soccer Champions 2018

On a wet and windy afternoon, both our Girls and Boys teams in the SPAR FAI Schools 5 a side competition took to the field in the Roscommon League Grounds in Lecarrow. Our girls played in a group of 5, against Tarmon, Brideswell, Trien and Corrigeenroe. Despite a heroic effort, winning two of their 4 games, they didn’t progress to the actual final.
Our Boys’ team were in a group with Frenchpark and Aughrim and beat both to make it through to the semi final. In the semi final we beat Corrigeenroe 3-0 in a cracker of a game. This put us in the final, where we played Knockcroghery. After a titanic struggle, we emerged victorious on a 3-2 scoreline.
