Cumann na mBunscol Football Blitzes 2024

On Wednesday, April 17th, we travelled to the Rugby pitch in Creggs to play our schools’ football blitzes on the astroturf there. The boys were in a group of 4. They played Cloverhill, Creggs and Fuerty. They won the first two games, but both games were very close and even. In the third game, they were beaten by Fuerty, who were too strong for everyone on the day.
This was followed by the Girls’ competition. There were 3 teams in this, so everyone got 2 games. First Creggs played Fuerty, a game they won. After this, we played Fuerty, and after a Titanic battle, we emerged victorious. This left a winner-takes-all situation between Lisaniskey and Creggs. The home team won this one, meaning they progress to the quarter finals. Best of luck Creggs, well done.
