Scór na bPáistí 2017

Saturday night, Nov 11th. The attention of – nearly – the whole country was focused on Copenhagen, as Ireland battled for World Cup qualification. However, for the boys and girls of the Senior classes in Lisaniskey NS, there were more important matters to attend to. Scór na bPáistí was on, and there was stage-craft to be performed. We had Solo Singing, Music Group, Ballad Group and Léiriú Stáitse competitions to partake in. Weeks of practising and rehearsing were about to pay off. We hoped.
At the end of the night, we had all done our best and everyone received their medal and their respective round of applause, and to crown the whole thing off, we came joint 3rd in Solo Singing and Joint 2nd as well; a 2nd place in the Music Group; we had a joint 3rd and a first place finish in the Léiriú Stáitse; and a joint 3rd and a first in the Ballad Group! Smiles all round, and maybe no homework on Monday night! Check out the photos below for some of the action.
