Well done to Meanscoil Muire Gan Smál – or, as we know it, the Convent in Roscommon on their great success yesterday, winning the All-Ireland Colleges final. Their opposition on the day were St Aloysius’ College, from Carrigtwohill, Co Cork. In a game where they only trailed once throughout the whole 60 minutes, some superb score-taking, allied with some defiant defending, the Roscommon girls ran out convincing winners on a 3-06 to 1-08 scoreline.
We are so proud of them all, but especially our past pupils, Amy, Hazel, Nicole, Erin, Taylor and Mella. Well done girls! We look forward to the day you get to bring the cup out to the school, so we can congratulate you all in person.
