Basketball on May Day!

Teams of both boys and girls played in the Roscommon Schools basketball competition today. In the fantastic venue that is The Hub in Castlerea, the girls first played Rooskey, and won well. This put them in a semifinal against a very strong and talented Cloonakilla side. Despite a slow start, and trailing 8-0, the girls finally got into their groove, and, but for some poor finishing, could have triumphed. However, they were instead narrowly beaten.

The boys team received a bye into the semifinals, and faced a

good Rooskey team. Despite their best efforts, they were also beaten at the penultimate hurdle. However, a great day was had by all. 👍
